What topics are we teaching for term 1?

Kenalkan

For Foundation students term 1 explores the time of the day and greeting people at different times of the day. Students learn to introduce themselves, say thankyou and other greeting language.

Zoo Animals

Students in Year 1 & Year 2 will learn about Zoo animals and will practice counting animals. They will extend their counting into teen numbers and talk about how many of an animal they see.

Pets

For Year 3 & Year 4 students, term 1 will focus on pets and what pets they have at home, or wish they had. Students will learn to talk about their pets, describe them, introduce their names and discuss how many pets they have.

Hutan Hujan

Year 5 & Year 6 will explore rainforests and endangered Indonesian animals. In term 1, we will focus on their environment and what food they eat. This topic continues in term 2 where we further explore describing animals and understanding why they are endangered.
